background

I grew up in Queens, New York, Boston, and small suburbs throughout New Jersey, but I experienced some of the most significant growth in my undergrad years spent in Los Angeles at the University of Southern California. Away from the New England bubble (and more importantly, from the enmeshed net of her parents and small-town communities), my move across the country, for better or for worse, forced friction between the reality I grew up in and a new culture, way of life, and people. The next four years would be crucial in discovering who I was and how I fit into the world. And this transition came in the form of immense loneliness, contradiction, tension, grief, and mourning, but also moments of belonging, acceptance, joy, and confidence.

Every major change and transition has transformed and informed my foundational passion for compelling storytelling. any medium that helps the realization of a story, whether it be a person or a space or a business told in a form that is written, audio, or visual, being able to help someone see, feel, and experience anything always brings me back to the little girl sitting on the floor surrounded by columns of piled books to be read in between the library shelves with a story spread open on her lap.

I am a firm believer that everyone has a story to share, and every story is meant for someone. The ones we try the hardest to hide tend to be the most interesting.
